Review

2.5 stars
My god, I thought I was never going to finish this one...
While I was very enthusiastic about continuing my 'Dark Tower' journey with this fifth volume, I became very dissapointed in it after about a 100 pages.
The first 50-100 pages are fine. Then you realise the story isn't going anywhere. And won't be until you're 450 pages further in the book. About 30 pages of action after 500+ pages of 'build-up'. Maybe this would've been more enjoyable for me if I had read [b:'Salem's Lot|11590|'Salem's Lot|Stephen King|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1327891565s/11590.jpg|3048937] first. I really didn't give two shits about Father Callahan's adventures, which are hard to ignore in this book.
If it didn't involve some of my favourite characters, I would've maybe even cut my rating 1 star down. Damn.
